The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard or PCI DSS was created at the end of 2005, and by September 2006 the main card issuers behind the standard had formed the PCI Security Standards Council to oversee the PCI DSS.

This webcast will include information on the standard itself, the various associated issues, what it means to your business, the steps you need to take to get compliant and what penalties are incurred if you are not.

Andy Buss

Andy Buss joined Canalys in January 2001. He has overall responsibility for the enterprise security analysis and enterprise networking analysis services, and also contributes to the analysis around mobility and wireless applications. Buss is involved in many confidential consultancy projects for Canalys’ clients. He is a sought-after analyst who contributes to the international business and trade press on a regular basis. Buss completed an MSc in the Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary and Westfield College, part of the University of London, and was awarded the Herchel Smith Scholarship. 


John Parker - Product Line Director, EMEA, McAfee

John Parker has spent 25 years working in the networking and security fields. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in both marketing and sales and is currently responsible for overseeing McAfee’s Intrusion Prevention business in the EMEA region. Parker is an authority in IPS technology, having written many white papers and reviews, and is McAfee’s interface to industry analysts such as Gartner, NSS, Canalys and Frost & Sullivan. He has worked for various large networking and security companies including GTE and Fujitsu.
