The protection of people, facilities, products and information is becoming increasingly critical for organizations often requiring coordination between those involved in traditional areas of protection and information security practitioners. The Alliance for Enterprise Security Risk Management and its founding members, ASIS International and ISACA commissioned Deloitte to conduct a global survey of convergence practices and the integration of security within the larger context of Enterprise Risk Management. This survey, combined with leading concepts developed by Deloitte and case studies, provides an interesting insight into the methods that organizations have used to enhance coordination and communication between security practitioners and integration of security into organization-wide risk identification and management activities.
