Phil Sohet Director, Kato Consultancy Phil Shohet FCA is a director of KATO Consultancy, which offers practices a range of services designed to increase operational efficiency, improve profitability and, ultimately, create a business of real value that will fund partners’ exit routes whilst maintaining continuous development and profitability. He writes a monthly column for Accountancy Age’s sister title on these and other issues.
David Thomson Chief Executive, Close Invoice Finance
David has overseen Close Invoice Finance’s growth by more than 45% in the last three years, through his restructuring, re-branding and re-positioning of the business as a product and service leader within the factoring and invoice discounting sector. He also serves as Chairman and Non Executive Director of Close Finance GmbH, Non Executive Director of Close Credit Management Ltd and an Executive Committee Member of the Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA). Prior to Close Invoice Finance, David was Managing Director of Metropolitan Factors Limited, an independent factoring and invoice discounting company providing working capital finance.
David also held the roles at HSBC Invoice Finance Limited from 1987-1994 as Northern Region Relationship Manager, Relationship Manager, Sales Director and Business Development Executive.
James Money Director, Smith & Williamson James Money is a director in the Restructuring and Recovery team at Smith & Williamson. James is a chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner. He has specialised in insolvency since 1988. His industry experience includes banking, heavy and light engineering, aviation, agriculture, energy, transport, pubs and clubs, and the automotive sector. He has acted as court-appointed receiver in fraud investigations and has a variety of cross-border insolvency experience. | |||
