Event Overview
Taking Back Control
A wide variety of computing models beyond traditional rich clients are emerging for IT Managers to choose from. These new models include Virtual Hosted Desktops, OS and/or Application Streaming, Terminal/Presentation Server, Client Virtualization etc. with each one claiming benefits beyond those provided by traditional rich clients. The choice of compute model has implications both for hardware/software acquisition costs as well as on-going ownership costs. However, the choice of compute model is far more than just a cost consideration as each model offers both benefits and limitations to solve the IT management and security challenges whilst delivering end-user flexibility and experience. This IT Week web seminar will bring together experts from the IT industry to discuss these new models, the benefits each model brings and the factors which should influence the choice of computing model. The knowledge gained from this web seminar will enable IT Managers to combat sprawl and "Take Back Control” of their IT estate.
Key benefits of attending:
Understand how to audit and measure usage and performance of IT networks, systems and software. This process will help forms make better use of IT admin staff, right size software licensing, reduce security vulnerabilities and optimize performance.
Who should attend?
IT directors and managers, system architects, network managers and other decision makers who want to better understand ways to control, secure and gain value from their computing estates.
